After a long day and a little time to reflect, I looked at my Coke can and it has “Winner” on the side of it. How awesome is this. This is what this year’s Lady Hawks team should feel like, winners. I’m not sure they will fully understand what they accomplished this season until a few years down the road.

A season in which all five golfers seen their average drop from beginning to end. A season with a winning record. A season with another trip to regional. A season full of special moments.

Keisha ends her career as a member of the Lady Hawks with an 82 today. Not sure where this put her over all today but not good enough to advance. Her legacy will be one for the ages as she not only succeed on the course but also in the class room. Keisha has put her heart into leading the Lady Hawks golf team for the past four seasons. She is a true example of leadership, dedication and has a true love for the Lady Hawks.

Kelly ends her career as a member of the Lady Hawks by paring her final hole in competition. She bested her regional score of last year with a 110 today. She tied her career low earlier this season. Kelly alway brings a smile and a few laughs to share. Her guidance and efforts will long be remembered by future Lady Hawk golfers.

Kyla will bring a great deal of experience next season after back to back regional appearances. She knows what it takes to have a successful season. After tying her regional score of last season with a 101 today she’s ready to put her experience to work and guid the Lady Hawks next season.

Kyliegh didn’t pick up a golf club until late May or early June. Her contributions to this year’s team were noticed. From getting a par on only her 10th competitive hole ever, to shooting a career low 53 to having her score count in several meets. Kyliegh is ready for next season to start. Her 116 today is quite impressive when you know she’s only played for four months.

Macy had a great season and a great day today shooting a 114 at regional as a freshman. She had her score count in several meets and was a big part in the teams success this season. She was in aw of the names of the other school but quickly over came the moment. She stayed focus throughout the day and carded her first birdie as a member of the Lady Hawks golf team on hole 16. She’s eager to help the Lady Hawks next season and try to make it three regionals in a row.
